How do I use a white radish??

Why did I buy it
It looked nice, and I saw someone else buying one.
Right I've got this white radish what do I do with it?? It looks like a giant white carrot. I'm making soup today, can I just use it like any other root veg, or is it more of a salad veg
Oh and does anyone know what it tastes like? I don't even buy little red radishes.
I'm not really a cook, so any easy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's a daikon or japanese radish. Its a little bit hot, good for stir-fries and salads. Tastes like a radish. Not as good for soup - stirfry it, not as spicy then. Cut it into matchsticks or grate it.0

I saw those in Lidl and debated it but didn't get one as I wouldn't have a clue what to do with it!!

No, it would be very good grated + added to coleslaw. DOnt add too much pepper to the slaw, tho!0

Right I'll try that then. I've got some creamy coleslaw in the fride, so I'll just add some of the radish, and they can have it with pizza for lunch(our schools are on holiday atm)
