Washing clothes - particularly shirts!
I was just wondering if anyone knew the best way to wash a new shirt (or an old one for that matter:D ) - is it best to leave it undone or do the buttons up and turn it inside out? Strange question possibly but I've just got some nice new ones from M&S on sale and I want to keep them as good as possible. In fact does…

Indian mint sauce recipe
The Indian kind that is. I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this but DH and I love a curry but we also love that yellow minty sauce you get with pakora etc. DH had a go at making it and although a very nice sauce it just wasn't right. Have googled but not come up with what I think is the right idea,…

Electric Knives
Hi Folks Noticed Lidls are doing an electric carving knife. I had one years ago and didn't rate it too much. However, I have had trouble lately carving joints which crumble with loads of crumbs (my knives probably not sharp enough although I have tried to sharpen). Is this a useful investment (£14.99 I think) or should I…

Stop Freezer Build-up?
I've noticed in quite a few publications lately adverts for a sort of 'liner' type thing that is supposed to stop your freezer from gathering any build up of ice/frost. They are a flat sheet that you place on the shelf or bottom of the drawer. Has anyone used anything like this and do they really work?

Mucky tablecloth
I've just come back from hols and realised I didn't clean our tablecloth before I went - I've washed it this morning but the stains haven't come out!! It's a light coloured 100% cotton one. It says to wash at max 40 - I did 50 this morning with quite a bit of soda crystals in it and am worried that it's ruined. Any ideas…

Baby wipes
I've got loads of packets of baby wipes as I had a load of Tesco extra points coupons. Obviously I'll use them on the baby's bottom, and her sticky hands and mouth once she starts feeding (next couple of weeks). I've also discovered they are great for cleaning baby sick off the carpet. Anyone got any other uses for baby…

Clothes Challenge
Have decided to challenge myself not to buy any new clothes for the next year!! I only really buy charity shop clothes anyway, but was getting into the bad habit of calling into my local charity shop every week and coming out with one or more items of clothing. Then I'd decide that I was fed up with some of my old clothes…
