Ive aquired lots of apples and having peeled and sliced them all put them on to stew with water and sugar. Well I forgot about them and they have turned to mush
What can I use them for now other than apple sauce. I still have more left so I will get some apple pies made with those so long as I dont forget them again but dont want to waste this pan full of apple puree.
Looking forward to your suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

I was brought up on puds of stewed apples from the tree in our garden. You can freeze them if you have room in your freezer, and eat them all year round until the next crop. Lovely with custard, cream or ice cream.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

use them as toppings on puds, pancakes, ice cream-ah, someone's already said ice cream
make a microwave sponge pud and instead of golden syrup or jam, use the apple- 2oz sr flour, 2oz butter, 2 oz caster sugar, 1 egg- cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and flour- grease a pudding dish, about a half pint one, put the apples in the bottom, cover with sponge mixture, cover with cling film or a plate, zap on high power for 4 mins- delish!0 -
Will be making that sponge when I get myself a pudding dish whatever that is
That flapjack sounds lovely. I normally make it with raisins but the apple will make a very nice change.
Thanks for the tips.0 -
i've just made another sponge with homemade raspberry jam in the bottom that i made in my breadmaker, (got 2 kg of raspberries from farm shop for 85p a kg!)
It's so quick, addictive but oh the calories!i just use a small pyrex dish, just use whatever dish you want, needs to be about a 1/2 pint one though
