Banoffee Curd
Having seen Banoffee curd on sale at a farmers market, I thought of trying to make some myself, yet despite umpteen searches on the net, I couldn't find a recipe. Feeling at a loose end on friday night I decided to put my thinking cap on and try to adapt a lemon curd recipe. I substituted dark brown sugar for white, and…

Hot meals when you come home.
You know how some people set up their slow cooker to have a hot meal ready when they come home on a night. Chicken safety question
Just a quick question. I froze a chicken when I bought it in December, and got it out last night to defrost for our lunch today. My question is it states on the package only to freeze for one month. Does that mean there is a safety issue and I shouldn't cook it. I am pregnant and don't want to take silly risks. Thanks

Split or double saucepans, can you get them?
Years ago my parents had a saucepan which was divided in the middle which meant you could cook 2 separate things in one saucepan thus saving gas. Can you still buy them and if so where? Thanks very much.

Damage to leather sofa
A friend's child was visiting yesterday and while no one was watching used a sharp pointed toy to poke little holes in the arm of my newly recovered fake leather sofa. The holes are about the size of the point of a compass. The sofa was only recovered about 6 months ago in a shade to match other chairs in the room, and…
