Shopping - where and how much ?
Hi - I am trying to reduce my shopping bills but so far it is not working too well ! I used to do a weekly online Tesco shop but changed it to fortnightly to try and save money. This does not seem to have worked at all as I then have to go to Sainsburys every 3-4 days for milk / bread / yoghurts e.t.c. I have also had a…

Using up arrowroot biscuits
My daughter had a sickness bug a few weeks ago and so i bought her some arrowroot biscuits to try and get her eating again (as they are apparently good for the stomach after sickness bugs). Anyway she didn't like the biscuits and nor do the rest of my family. I can't bring myself to throw them away as this just isn't money…

Chinese lemon chicken: will it freeze?
At what stage do you think I can freeze this? (from the Morrisons Magazine) 1. Mix 1 beaten egg, 1 crushed garlic clove and the grated rind of a lemon. Add 500g of chicken breast cut into chunks and marinade for 15min. 2. Add 2 tablespoons of cornflour and mix well so the cornflour dissolves and coats the chicken pieces.…

Dates on eggs / how long do they keep for?
I have eggs in the fridge and I don't know whether I can eat them or not. They were bought at a farm shop about a week ago. How can you tell if an egg is still edible, I would rather throw them away than get salmonella. Thank you

Very old left over chicken.
Bought a whole chicken on Saturday last week. Cooked it for 7 hours in the slow cooker and used it for sarnies this week. Plus made some stock and a soup with the left over ones and skin. I now have two legs and a wing left. Will these still be ok to eat? And what can I do with them? I'm not keen on legs and wings unless…

With the tefal one I could re-arrange the baskets as needed to get the best of the cooking steam, with the MR one, the baskets have to be tiered in a particular order, and you…
