How long can I leave bread to rise for?
Over the weekend I read the 'Making bread without a bread machine' thread and baked a loaf with my DD. We all enjoyed it and I'd love to do it more often. I work FT though and would find it difficult to fit this in. Could I make the bread at night time and leave it rising until I got home at 4 the next evening?

chutney making -any tips?
my wife followed recipes for tomato chutney/picallilli she pulled from a magazine and followed carefully. stored in a cool dark place for 6 months then tried. Aaarrgghh! inedible! Defrosting bread/buns
Tried it in the microwave but it just went from fozen to soft to hard. What's the best way to defrost bread/buns....leave them out on the kitchen bench for x amount of hours?? And how long can you keep them in the freezer?
