Ok, so I've dabbled a little and can rustle up a spag bol and some chilli. I've started doing a bit more. I tried out some of the biscuit recipes and the weetabix cake from some of the posts, but could do with a few pointers on making simple food for me ad the OH - we don't have any kids.
Is there a good book out there to maybe help me on my way?
I'm really hoping that in a few years, I'll be doing most things from scratch. I actually really enjoy cooking my own food but I find myself lost for ideas.....

There's a thread a couple of days back recommending the New English Kitchen (from the Book People) so pretty cheap. I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive so can't comment on its usefulness yet.
HTHI have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

I read the thread about the New Kitchen but it wouldn't discount the 3rd book so decided not to buy it in the end.
I'll check out those threads, I'm reading lots on here so learning all the time - I just lack confidence unless it's all written out in front of me. I couldn't make something without a recipe!Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0
