Please help!
I have a 2008 Ford Focus. It is running but I noticed the engine roaring when accelerating/decelerating so took it to a garage. They ran a diagnostic test and basically told me it would be a very expensive repair and not worth it. This is exactly what the sheet they gave me says - Power Train Control Module Monitor Fault/…

Mileage Discrepancy on MOT
hi all. New to the motoring forum but hoping you could help buying a new (used) car and there’s a very obvious discrepancy with the mileage. Odometer says 27083 miles. Mot on 2nd April shows 27064 (fail). It was retested 3 days later and mileage has been entered as 218,783. I’m presuming it’s a mistake as I can’t imagine a…

So, I have just bought a new-to-me used 2017 SEAT Ateca (I’m picking it up in a week). And as a treat to myself, I have also recently bought myself a personal registration plate. However, after buying the plate and reading up on how I assign it to my new car once I receive my V5, it says that “the vehicle must have had tax…

Changing Address on Driving Licence
I have moved into a new build house, DVLA database is not up to date so I can't select my address or even type it in, it doesn't allow it. I have read that I can fill in a D741 form which 'came with my licence', but I don't have one of these. I have my old D740 Counterpart Driving Licence which has a section you can fill…

Rejecting a car, where do I stand?
I bought a 62 plate Subaru WRX STI last December from a dealer, it was on finance. All went well until early March when the engine suddenly started making a noise like a bunch of spanners were loose in the engine compartment. Informed the garage, in early March, just as lockdown was about to start. Had a few emails from…

Have I been shafted? (tyre replacement offered by the fitter)
I ordered 4X Primacy 4 225/45/17 94V XL tyres for a good price from ATS. A rated in fuel and A rated in wet grip. Arranged a fitting date. All fine. One day before the fitting is due, I was at work during the morning, and they left a voicemail saying "we've only got two of those, so we can either fit those two, and the…

Contesting a speeding ticket (variable speed limit).
Hi Guys, Hoping for a little bit of advice and input on this issue. I've received a letter saying I've been caught speeding at the Jct19/20 variable speed limit section of the M5. It states I was doing 62mph and it alleges the speed limit was 50mph at the time. However, I'm not sure it's accurate. I know the area well and…

Should I change Registered keeper to my spouse?
We used to have just one car and "Registered Keeper" was in my name. Now we have 2 cars I mainly drive the other car and my Spouse is the main driver if this one. Would it be wise to change the Registered Keeper on the V5C? That means it would (a) reflect the reality and (b) line up with car insurance.

Truvelo speed camera
I went through what I think is called a Truvelo D cam - the type forward facing with a second unit close by with orange disk - today I was doing the speed limit (30MPH) as I passed I saw what looked like a glint from both of them (not a flash)- could this just be from the sun or something else reflection?
