Truvelo speed camera
I went through what I think is called a Truvelo D cam - the type forward facing with a second unit close by with orange disk - today I was doing the speed limit (30MPH) as I passed I saw what looked like a glint from both of them (not a flash)- could this just be from the sun or something else reflection?

It could be yes.0

If you were doing 30 in a 30, then even if the radar does trigger the camera (unlikely), the two photos will show you covering around 14 metres per second (proportionately), so no prosecution would go anywhere.0

According to the Google search I did it say these cameras do not give off any visible flash

You need to dig in further, although Truvelo cameras CAN work with an infra-red flash, the UK approval only allows a visible flash (with a magenta filter) to be used.aardvaak said:According to the Google search I did it say these cameras do not give off any visible flash0 -
if you weren't speeding then there's nothing to worry about. Conversely.....0

Truvelo's don't use radar, and only take a single photo.AdrianC said:If you were doing 30 in a 30, then even if the radar does trigger the camera (unlikely), the two photos will show you covering around 14 metres per second (proportionately), so no prosecution would go anywhere.0 -

Then why were there two units there?
