    Only a bit. It's advisable to do well under the limit to allow for error and if they hide it where you can't see it until the last minute that sometimes involves stamping on the brakes. The mobile ones are the worst for that, they should put some signs 800m down the road to warn you they are coming up. The mobile ones are the last accurate too.

    I don't think slamming on your brakes is a sensible move.  It would be likely to cause an accident, for which you would very likely be found at fault.  It would be most pleasing if you would support your arguments that all speed cameras are inaccurate with evidence as I am sure motoring solicitors such as @TonyMMM would be grateful for this in their daily work.
