Offset your Road Tax and MOT/Insurance
I seemed to have helped 2 people with this today so I thought I'd post it in case it helps anyone else. We all know how expensive it is when your MOT, Insurance & Road Tax comes round at the same time. Well, If you only buy 6 months road tax the next time it is due and then when that expires you pay for 12 months, you…

I have read a fair few though, promise :p I currently drive a 2007 Volvo S40 1.6 S which I picked from a limited list of similar cars (it was the best of a bad bunch IMO). Its comfy and got a decent amount of kit for a base…

Vauxhall Security Code - Key & Radio?! (Quick question)
Hi All, Apologies if this question sounds infinitely stupid for those who are used to this type of thing I feel stupid for asking..!!! Got my Astra 2nd hand and it didn't come with the vauxhall security card. It did come with the key number (3 digit key type thing) so that's a start. The dealer gave me a 4 digit code as I…

New car turns out to be an ex display model ...

Also: Should I worry that the DVLA website isn't picking up that I have renewed my insurance? I have certificate in hand.

AutoAid and homestart max
Having recently received my renewal from VW Assistance and having decided it's about time I looked around for alternatives, it seems that AutoAid would be a very good way to go. I was wondering, though, if anyone has had any experience of their maximum £65 charge being applied on homestart assistance. I have no idea…

RAC Gold Parts & Labour Warranty
Hello everyone. I bought a car in January on an 04 plate. This came with a 6 month Motorplan warranty. I have just received the renewal notice for it and it would seem that Motorplan has teamed up with the RAC and the warranty that I have now been offered is RAC Gold Parts and Labour. The original six month warranty cost…

Unlawful Car Sale
Long post... I bought a car last year and the salesman promised me I would get 1 year's warranty. Since then I have not received any such warranty and have still to receive a final receipt for the purchase. On top of that, I needed to fork out for an expensive repair -which I was assured would be refunded by the sales…

Train ticket delivery by 1st class post, has it stopped?
Not too long ago I received train tickets free by 1st class post. Now I can only find next day delivery at £6-£7, or from a machine at some stations. Adding that amount to a ticket prompts me to go by bus, much cheaper but not as convenient. Has the free 1st class post been stopped? It is still shown as an option on the…

DVLA Medical for High Risk Offender?
14yrs ago I lost my licence through drink driving after getting stopped the morning after. After my ban expired I didn't bother re-applying for my licence.
