Bought a new car last month. Salesman said he needed insurance to tax the vehicle. Yes OK that's pretty…

Don't want to put kids in 3rd row of 7 Seater, so what about the Multimac?
Sorry for such a long title but i'm very concerned at the moment. My father has just bought me a VW Sharan on my behalf and I now think the proper third row seats are better than the flimsy flip up ones other cars have. But the distance between the seats and the back is still too small to make me feel comfortable in…

DVLA Help
At the end of January I purchased another car and the private seller sent off the documents to the DVLA. At the end of March I phoned them to enquire were my documents were, but they had no record I was informed that I had to send my slip away which I did although it stated on the form not to send to DVLA ( I usually send…

Leasing a new car versus buying new every three years
Can anyone tell me advantages in leasing a vehicle rather than buying new? I 'm thinking the lease would probably cost the deprciation anyway of a new car. Is it a good option? I usually change my car every three years, and keep buying new because my job is essential car user, which means it needs to be reliable. Many…

Need a new car but already in a credit agrement
About 11 months ago I bought a Renault Megane. It has been a really good car and I have nothing bad to say about it especially as I got it at a really good price at the time... Since then I have had my second child and the Megane simply does not have enough space for all the family, especially in the boot for a pram... My…

AA Renewal up from £29 to £47.50
I purchased AA roadside cover last year for £29, however the renewal price is £47.50. Maybe the £29 was just for the first year, but they are still offering £29 to new customers. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on how I could reduce this cost? Either by taking my business elsewhere, or simply threatening…

Corsa Quote
Hi- Our 1998 1.4 corsa breeze just failed MOT this morning on - 1) front track rod 2) rear wheel bearing 3) side light guy has come back and said roughly £100 for repairs. Car is going out to pasture soon under scrappage (he doesn't know this) so trying to keep costs down to minimum. Does this sound reasonable?? Cheers John

Motmax excellent service!
I just wanted to write about my experiences of this company in case it helps anyone else. I am very distrustful of garages after a couple of experiences where I am sure I was ripped off, as a youngish female I think they see me coming. I have done my best to learn about cars and how they work, I know how to service my own…
