A9 Services?
Hello,
Not sure if this is the right forum to post this. We are travelling up to Elgin, Scotland on Sunday/Monday, and just wondered if anyone knew of any services or toilets etc on the A9? I can't seem to find any information on any anywhere.

Ballinluig and Ralia are the only "services", no fuel at Ralia. The rest are "local services" where you pull off into one of the towns just off the A9 and use the facilities.
Watch out for the major roadworks at Bankfoot, long delays.0 -
if I remember right,,there are garages that have toilets etc,,they r not big massive service station,,just enought to buy ur sandwich ,,toilet fill up and go0

The cloest thing to services on the A9 north of Perth is the Ralia centre, (just south of Newtonmore) which is a cafe and 24hr public toilets, built on a section of the old road.
All of the bypassed villages have "local" services of varying quantities; accomodation, shop, cafe/takeaway, toilets, fuel etc
Even though the bakers doesn nice pies, I'd personally avoid stopping in Aviemore, too busy during the day
If you're after fuel stop at Perth or wait until Elgin, both have supermakets.
The roadworks at Bankfoot aren't a huge delay, last time I went past both lanes were open.0 -
Pitlochry is worth a stop. You will be about 2 hours from Elgin.0
