I just wanted to write about my experiences of this company in case it helps anyone else.
I am very distrustful of garages after a couple of experiences where I am sure I was ripped off, as a youngish female I think they see me coming. I have done my best to learn about cars and how they work, I know how to service my own car, know how and engine works and what each part of my engine does, I have also been able to do a little work on my car myself with the help of my haynes manual. I check the lights, tyre pressures and tread depths on a regular basis and as my car was only serviced a couple of months ago I felt reasonably confidant it was in good condition.
I wanted to take the car somewhere other than a garage unfortunately there wasn't VOSA test station nearby but I did find MOTmax who mot your car if it fails they will re-test for free. They don't do repairs so I didn't feel that they had any interest in wanting extra work and I felt even if the car did fail I could take it to a garage (so long as the old MOT hasn't run out) and just ask them to do the failure items, then return the car to MOTmax for the free re-test.
I took my car for the test and was very impressed, the test took about 40 minutes and my car passed, they were very friendly and I was just really pleased with the service! Oh yes and they always have offers on their website so if you do book check for money off coupons!:T
