Need a new car but already in a credit agrement

About 11 months ago I bought a Renault Megane. It has been a really good car and I have nothing bad to say about it especially as I got it at a really good price at the time...
Since then I have had my second child and the Megane simply does not have enough space for all the family, especially in the boot for a pram...

My current agreement is for 4 years so it still has roughly 3 years left to finish. But I could really be doing with something bigger. I noticed that megances of the same age and style have only depreciated by about £500 from what we paid any way...
What options are there that would help me get a bigger car.

You need to find out what the settlement figure is and how much your car is worth. In this instance you might get the best deals from Renault and if nothing else that will be probably be the easiest option.
  • Pay off loan if it's on the car, then sell car and buy a bigger one.

By wary of how much you think your car is worth, there's a whole world of difference between the laughable prices some ask for their cars in the Trader and what someone will actually pay for it.

How did you feel about the dealer you bought the car from? If you were happy and you sound it then you could go back and ask them if there's any way they could help.

It might be simpler if you don't have the funds to pay off the existing credit....but it could lead to higher debt.

Most large dealers will accept a vehicle in part ex that is under finance (as long as you tell them up front)

They purchase the vehicle from you, settling any existing finance direct with the finance company, leaving the remainder to put towards the deposit on the car you purchase.
