Problem with IMEI Blocked phone
Back in February I purchased an S10 from CEX. Used it for a few weeks, decided it wasn't for me. After searching online, I found the best trade-in price was through Music Magpie. I've used them in the past on a couple of occasions, never had an issue, and I didn't expect one this time. I sent the phone to them, received…

Upgrades
I recently upgraded my wifes phone instead of upgrading her plan they decided to do my daughters instead (she will have a nice new phone and contract much to her delight) however the only way to correct this mistake is to take out another contract for my wife as we are now out of the uk and no way to return my daughters…

Virgin pac code problems, possible fix
After getting many 'technical difficulties' messages when trying to get a pac code from Virgin mobile via the text method, I ended up ringing them on 789. It was like pulling teeth. I had to insist that the lady told me why I could not get a pac code. It turned out that the fact they'd sent me a new (unasked for) sim,…

Quoted £0 yet charged £30/month
Hi. Weird one. I was quoted on EE’s website for an “add to plan” accessory. It was quoted as £0 (probably an error on their website) as it was back to “normal” the next day. I saw the £0 and took the opportunity and added the accessory to my phone plan (11mo). Question is; do I have to pay the £30/month (11mo) or do EE…

BT Mobile changing plan - extra cost with no authorisation!
We received an email from BT Mobile stating that the calling plan my wife is on will be closed at the end of August. They say they will move her to the Unlimited Minutes package for an extra £4.50 per month. They give the option of going to a 700 minutes plan; if you can get hold of them!! She doesn't use her mobile much…

How to get PAC code from FreedomPop
Along with many others, I want to terminate my free plan with FreedomPop before it ends on 29th July. But, before I do, I wish to get the PAC code so that I can keep my number. But I have been having no success even following FreedomPop's own instructions for porting a number. I have texted PAC three times to 65075 but…

Seeking pre-approved mobile contracts
So I tried to buy a new mobile for the first time in a few years, having had a work phone for the last few years. Thought I'd found a winner with Carphone Warehouse / EE but after going AWOL for a few days it turned out I'd failed credit checks with EE. I haven't had any credit issues directly, but someone tried to open a…

Virgin mobile - bad move
Hi all, Usually I’m on the ball with technology but in this case have made a mistake! I switched from EE to Virgin because of the good deal and because I thought WiFi calling was part of the deal. Put the new SIM in my phone to start the process of my number transfer to find that there seems to be no WiFi calling on the…

Lebara: Abroad with no voicemail PIN
I recently moved to Lebara and I never did bother to set up the voicemail PIN so I could access it from other phone numbers. Now I'm abroad and I'm not going to be back in the UK for quite a while and:- "121", as expected, doesn't work- There is a special number to call from abroad, but it's equivalent to calling from a…

Pay as you go .
Hi. I have passed on my old phone to my wife. She has never owned a phone before but she said she'd seldom use it. We sent for a sim and inserted it. She wants it on Pay as you go and not use it as a pay monthly where if you put a tenner on it, she wants it to last and not run out after a month. I believe there is…

The bill advises me to call them for a refund - but when I called today I got a message that due to their need to keep staff safe they are not able to answer any billing queries - I should chat instead. I've tried a couple of times and…

Any disadvantages to upgrading through Carphone Warehouse?
I have a contract with Vodafone and have for many years. It's now time for me to upgrade but Carphone Warehouse can do the upgrade for £20 less a month than through Vodafone directly. Has anyone done this and are there any disadvantages? Just seems too good to be true.

Join me on a ride on the wild side.......
Hey folks. I hope you're all well. First post on here in many a year and, well, I have a story to tell that is at the same time, still being written, so to speak. Join me by the camp fire, as I tell ye about the magical mystery tour I started on some weeks ago, and which I'm still on, as I challenge the heathen masses, the…

Am I entitled to compensation from Vodafone?!
So, I've had issues with Vodafone since my initial contract finished. I was paying £60pm for two years without issue. Then I asked them to continue with a sim only deal for about 16pm in about May. Several months later I realised they were still charging me at £60pm, so I called them in October and they agreed they had…

PAYG is it going?
As some of the big names are retreating from their deals on PAYG, is this the beginning of the end? Are we being forced onto monthly contracts? I am on Three PAYG 123 but that has been replaced with a much more expensive option.

Moving to a SIM only with Three
Hi all, Coming to the end of my contract but going to go SIM only for the first time. I’m hoping to switch to Three. Do I order the plan and SIM from their website and then give them the PAC at a later date to move my number? Do I need to phone them? If so, I’m a bit concerned as reading other posts on this forum they are…
