Three Final Bill Refund

Having finished 2 pay monthly contracts with three I'm due a refund of the final bill. The bill advises me to call them for a refund - but when I called today I got a message that due to their need to keep staff safe they are not able to answer any billing queries - I should chat instead.  I've tried a couple of times and chat is never available.  There is also no email address to contact them and they also seemed to have withdrawn from resolver platform.
It is strange they make you call them as when I left vodafone previously the credit balance was automatically refunded to my bank account. The cynic in me thinks this is just a ploy to make it hard for customers to get their money back, hoping many wouldn't bother and give up eventually.
Has anyone managed to recently get a final bill refund from 3?  Any suggestions on how to get my refund?

    Yes, I got a refund of the credit showing on my final bill (received through the post) by phoning CS after 3 had taken the full DD amount the month after I left. That was in May. Had no problem getting through to them and no arguments about the refund which was debited about a week after my call. Number I called was 0333 3381001.
