Im re-wiring the property at the moment and Im in a quandry regarding the sockets and…

Been 'warned' about flat roof extension..??
One of the houses we're looking at has had the kitchen extended. The extension is a flat roof. Discussing this at work & the general thought on it was a negative one. Aside from possibly collecting water, is there a big problem with flat roofs? I don't see much of an issue with them & this is based on living at home &…

Recommendations for garden swing seat
Hello there - thinking about getting a garden swing seat and wondered if anyone had any recommendations/ones to avoid/know about any bargains? We don't actually need the frame, just the seat and chains/whatever holds it up, but I'm guessing we'll have to buy the whole thing. TIA

How to Clean painted masonry
The exterior of my house is very grubby and it's all painted and textured. I'm trying to clean it off, as the bottom part under the porch around the bays is the dirtiest, the top half of the house isn't too bad, so would be better if I don't have to repaint. I don't have a pressure/power washer and no way of getting water…

Tesco Kitchens and Bathrooms
Apologies if this has been posted before, have searched but can''t find anything. Has anyone any experience of Tesco Kitchens and bathrooms? Gas hob/oven electrics question
We have a new gas hob and an electric fan oven. I had the hob fitted today by a gas safe person, but he said he wouldn't connect it back to the electric "box" underneath as it was a 30 amp one, and the gas hob needs 3 amps. The old one was connected to the 30 amps. ohps. The 30 amps is fine for the oven though. Won't be…

Repairing galvanised guttering
How would you repair galvanised guttering that is leaking due to the seals at the joints having failed? The guttering itself is in good condition, just the sealant that's failed. Not sure what was originally used (1940s) or what the modern replacement would be..
