Cavity wall insulation guarantee agency (CIGA)

Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with CIGA's customer service?? Problems with damp walls and the company who installed it have gone out of business, CIGA have been contacted but they are not the most helpful in trying to help me and my friend out with this problem!

Has anyone else had issues with CIGA and their customer service, I have sent several emails also to no avail! Not happy

I am involved with a CIGA case at the moment.

The advice from the CIGA office has been woeful.

I have left messages requesting return calls. These calls have not been made by CIGA.

emails have been sent to CIGA, but have only been acknowledged after chasing them up.

CIGA have undertaken a survey. It was my belief that I had greater knowledge than the CIGA surveyor. I accept that he was polite, presentable, patient...but the proof of the pudding is the report he issued. I would give this a mark of, at best, three out of ten.

It would appear to me CIGA are a smokescreen to protect the cavity wall installation companies. They are a trade body who have little interest in consumers.

To answer your post, I would say your experiences are normal.
