hello all, am moving house soon and in the new house I have enough garden space to be able to build one of those log cabin type rooms. It will be used by my son as a day room when he is 'between girlfriends' which is fairly often so he can watch his tv and play on x box with out bothering me so will be used all year round. It will also be used partly as a photographic studio. My son is fairly ok with diy and can do windows and rubber roofing.
Have looked around at various companies and the size I would like (3m x 3m or thereabouts) varies from £2500 supplied and uninstalled to £12k super duper fully installed with concrete base, electrics , plastring etc. while this would be nice i am thinking more in the middle.
Have looked at so many and they all state that theirs are best so just wondered with the thousands of peeps here which you could recommend- or not!

Thought about this from time to time. But then last week we had a look round our local caravan world and were hugely impressed by the option of buying a very nice 2nd hand caravan for £2995 - with kitchen area, toilet-shower room, and bed space for 4. When we need more room then that's what we'll go for. We won't need a tow-bar as we'll just ask them to deliver it.I am the Cat who walks alone0

I have been doing a bit of research and was going with Dunster house but after reading lots of bad things have re looked. Have looked at sooooo many. I am single lady and have zero diy skills so would have to pay someone to do it although my son could do some of it. But think i am going with a company called cabinliving as they also do reasonable intsalation. Their prices seem reasonable but this also makes me think it may be inferior!! dunno yet is the answer. Will keep the thread going when I find out more.0

We had one built about 7 years ago. It was a company In Wreccleham near Farnham. We. Did the concrete base, they erected the shell and we fitted out with insulation, panelling, carpet and electrics and heating and light. It saved loads of money that way. I'm just about to paint the outside this weekend (weather permitting.)
It was originally being used as an office as I did loads of work from home, since splitting with my ex I've used it for storage
I'd love to transfer it to a playroom for my boys. Need some serious time though to get rid of all the contents including a load of fitted office furniture and cupboards!
