Asbestos in Artex Removal costs?
Hey, Can anyone give me a rough figure for the cost to remove artex which could potentially have asbestos in it? Were looking at the 2 rooms and a hallway (upstairs and down). Every wall has artex on it :-( Unfortunately we cannot skim over it as the house needs a full electrical rewire. Thanks

Painting over lacquered wood
Hello I have a similar query to another recent post, but I think it's different enough not to hijack that thread. Do I need to do…

tall kitchen wall units
Hi, We are currently looking into redoing our kitchen. I would like to get tall wall units, so they reach the ceiling (I can't reach the top shelf anyway, so adding another one won't make any difference-I'll still need the steps lol :rotfl: ) I know Ikea do them, and it seems b&q, but does anyone know who else does? Thanks

I''ve had new MDF skirting and architrave installed all round. (pre-primed i believe) Also had some interior woodwork replaced. I have bought Duluxe Satinwood for all woodwork. Do i need to undercoat the MDF, or go straight over it with the Satinwood, also, do i have to prime, or undercoat the fresh wood?

Painting satin over gloss?
Hi All I am heavily into decorating at the moment and would like to use satin paint instead of the gloss that is there. Do you have to prepare any differently when you cover gloss with satin or would a light sand down to give a key and a good clean be the answer? Thanks!

Replacing an integrated dishwasher
Our dishwasher has gone kaput, and as we're on the verge of renting the house out, we thought we'd replace it rather than getting it repaired (it's 11 years old). The only problem is that it's integrated, and the door covering only partially covers the door - the controls of the dishwasher take up the rest of the door. So…
