Spraying picture frames
I do not know anything about this, but can you spray paint a picture frame? I've seen a over mantle mirror on ebay that has a gold frame, but i want it silver, so could i spray paint it?? Or does it look nasty when its done, am i better of looking for one that is silver, or could i buy the mirror and get a silver frame…

Anyone used Spacesavers bedrooms?
We're looking for some fitted bedroom furniture, and are having a visit from a Spacesavers designer tomorrow (they're based on Guildford/Surbiton). Does anyone have any experience of this company? Can anyone also advise on other suppliers? (i.e. ones to recommend or avoid)

Non standard fireplace and surround....
I'm looking at getting an electric fire to go in my fireplace, however after putting in the fire there will be a gap of about 20cm from top of fire to top of surround and 10 cm I think accross. The fire backs that they sell are all the wrong size, is there any way to fill in gaps myself?

Help! DH put an oily rag in the washing machine
...domestic oil...the kind for central heating. I've tried saving the clothes in the same laod by doing a 90C wash with detergent but they smell even more of oil. My worry is the washing machine itself....how can I get the smell out?
