Laminate Flooring
OK - I know that it's soon to be the 'wrong' stuff to have according to fasion home experts, but it should still suit us, so a couple of Q's, for any thoughts/ideas please.... Washer dryer angst - repair or sling?
Hi all - your opinions required please. I've had my washer dryer for four years and last year it conked out. I got it repaired (but I'm sure the guy was an uber-cowboy as he couldn't fix the dryer component). It lasted about three months and then died again. I've been saving for a newbie washer dryer but could really do…

Overrun with thistles, help needed
We live on an estate that has until recently been maintained by the developer, but has now been adopted by the local council. Since this has happened, the communal areas have been left to ruin and in particular outside our house, the border is chocca full of thistles and brambles. It looks horrendous. I've been onto the…

Possible EXTRA 15% off EVERYTHING at B&Q
Just been to my local B&Q (Canterbury) for some Sandtex paint (20% off) and saw a sign saying there's an extra 15% off kitchen appliances. I was after a new oven & hob, found one for £330, less 15% = good price, sorted. Found my paint (reduced by 20%) so picked up 4. Also found a strimmer for £12, bargain...…

I've had a wireless door chime for a number of years and it's worked fine until recently, anyway it then started to work intermittently so I’ve been out and bought a new one. Restoring Furniture
Any woodworking experts out there? I've recently been given a 1960's Ercol bench that has been stored in a barn for the past few years. Decorating question...
Hi, I'm in the middle of decorating my daughters bedroom and having stripped off the wallpaper I was planning on painting the walls rather than putting paper back up. However having stripped the paper off I've found lots of little holes caused by one of those wallpaper 'scorers', (not guilty as I used a steamer!). Anyway…
