Washing machine full of suds!

Options
Help my washing machine is full of suds, this is not the first time that this has happened.

I normally only use 1 washing tab, although i have used some Vanish-pink in wash liquid recently.

It seems to be rinising and spinning ok.

Any ideas?

Should i run it empty to try and flush excess soap out?

Thankyou

  • get out what you can by hand, the suds might not have reached their optimum 'suddiness' (that a word? if not it is now)
then run a cycle using cold water

The best way of killing excess suds is to put some fabric conditioner in the machine.
I'd recommend running it through a high temperature(90c) cycle to clear out any detergent deposits.
Low temperture washes can lead to a built up of detergent at the bottom of the drum and in the pipes.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
