Can you help me. A builder who was meant to tidily patch up my boundary wall with my neighbour left sand and cement mix on my neighbours immaculate block paving drive. My neighbour had now complained and short of falling out with him I need to sort it out. Can anyone recommend a way of removing the cement from his drive…

water supply pipe
It looks like the house I hope to buy may have a leak in the water supply pipe! The pipe is shared between 4 houses and the deeds stipulate that the cost is shared between all 4 houses. Two of the houses are owned by a housing association so its likely that the water board will do the work and bill each house. Can anyone…

Advice needed - shower question
We need to get a new shower. The one we have now is a Heat Store Esprit. We have no manual with it and there's nothing on the outside of the control unit to tell me what watt it is. I've googled this make of shower, and as it's an old one, I'm guessing it's in the 7 - 7.5w range. However I don't know for sure, and my…

We recently moved into a house that has had an injected DPC installed years ago. Because of this we have a row of holes in the outside wall about 6 inches from the ground. Am I OK filling these in and painting over them (it's a rendered wall) or do I have to leave them as they are?? Many Thanks....

Washing machine warranty
Thanks for looking. We have had our washer for two years now and its been great. We have now been offered an extended warranty on it @ £5 per month, which should cover all repairs to it as it is provided by indesit. Is it worth it? I figure £60 a year is not bad if it gets replaced. A new washer is say £200 so if we keep…
