Anglian Double Glazing - Any Experiences?
I am just about to buy the council flat I have lived in for 6 years. I am going to borrow extra money on the mortgage for double glazing. I have had two quotes, one from Anglian and one from Everest. Everest are almost double the price of Anglian. I have heard Everest are good, but I am basically buying the flat to sell in…

Is a chemical flush for the heating system necessary??
Hi, We have been experiencing problems with our heating and tried the balancing of the rads to ensure they all produce heat. We recently had a new water pump installed and that didn't fix the problem. The plumber is now recommedning a chemical flush of the whole system - something he reckons will cost around £320 with…

fitting skirtboard (laminate floor...)
I've laid down all the laminate floor - the floor is not exactly level over longer distance (but is roughly within its laminate laying 'tolerance'!). I am not keen on spending money on expansion gaps that could be used to cover the gaps. How much gap should there be between the laminate and the bottom of the skirtings?…

We need to lift the bedroom carpet to carry out work on the floor underneath. Has anyone got any experience of re-laying their own carpet? We're d-i-y-ers of many years standing but this is one thing we've never done. Is it something we should attempt or should we really get in a professional??!!! Thanks in anticipation…
