Electricity arrears
Our monthly electricity bill has increased (no shock here) but we have also been told that we are in arrears. My question is,should they be calculated at different rates so-pre 1st May and after or should it all be calculated at the new tariff? Our Smart meter hasn't worked for months (numerous attempts to sort) so this…

I was told by the engineer that it can take a few hours to calibrate the gas meter so just leave it and it will come one. After a couple of days nothing so contacted my supplier outfox the…

Energy Grant and Prepayment Meters... How does it all Work?
Hello! In June, I will be moving into a rental flat with a prepayment meter for electricity (Council Tax and gas are paid directly by the landlord). This will be my first time using prepayment meters, so am new to them in general, but I am most concerned as to how it will work with the government grant. How will I get this…

Final bill from EDF for Green Network Energy FIFTEEN MONTHS late.
I moved house in February 2021 just after Green Network Energy went bust. I contacted EDF who had taken over the account and gave them my final meter readings, new address etc and asked for the bill. I chased it up by email and then by telephone over the next seven or eight months but couldn't get any sense out of them,…

Hello, First post ever, be gentle with me, please. I'll keep it unemotive, despite feeling polar opposite. I have complained. E.on next…

Energy bills
The advice from Martin today is it might make sense to lock in a fixed energy deal at +30% or even +35% if you can get it. I just looked and I use 30% of my annual energy JUN-SEP and 70% during the other 8 months. On energy prices alone it'd cost me more to move at the available +35% than stay on variable unless the cap…

PFP to British Gas Meter Readings unable to change
Hi guys, I was unfortunate to switch to PFP Energy in Sep 2021 and just 2 days later they went bust, although I never found this out until 2 weeks later. I was advised to give a meter reading the day before the switch to British Gas which I did. Only now in May 2022 has British Gas set up my account and it is incorrect.…
