Recently I had smart meters installed, when they where fitted the hub in the house showed the electric usage but didnt show the gas. I was told by the engineer that it can take a few hours to calibrate the gas meter so just leave it and it will come one. After a couple of days nothing so contacted my supplier outfox the market and they advised it can take upto 2 weeks to connect. After waiting 2 weeks found that the gas still isnt connected so I contacted them back, now been told that the fault lies with the DCC receiver in my area and at present they dont have any fix date although they did assure me that it should be resolved by June 2025!!!!!! After speaking with a number of people on the outfox the market facebook group and my local group this seems to be quite a common problem either the gas or the electric usage not showing on the meter.

The most likely reason for your problem is that the gas meter hasn’t been commissioned properly. Gas meter commissioning is the last action in the installation process, and installers tend not to wait. After 59 minutes of trying to commission, the process times out.
