Ceramic lot20 heaters
Does anyone know how good ceramic lot20 heaters actually are in comparison to running a gas fire 24hrs a day? They advertise saying the ceramic stays hot giving off heat so you only need them on for a few minutes every hour. Is this true? I live in an old terrace (2 up 2 down) and we have gas fires downstairs that are on…

E.On Operator Hanging Up
Hi all, I have a dispute with E.On Energy that I am finding impossible to raise, let alone resolve. The bill that I am disputing was issued before E.On Energy became E.On Next, so apparently I must sort the dispute with the former rather than the latter. Firstly, can anyone confirm this is true? Secondly, I have rang E.On…

I left AVRO 10 days BEFORE the collapse with a balance of APPROX £250CR.I went over to Scottish Power presuming my balance would be credited after the final reading.AVRO then collapsed and the situation is ongoing.I was originally told NOT to cancel any DD as refunds would be harder to process, so I left it "live".Payments…

How to live without heating - save £000s
I am sorry to read Martin Lewis say he fears people will die because a lot of people cannot afford heating. I agree but regard it as sad. The Government, Councils, charities and other public bodies could do a lot more to advise people on what to wear so many of those people should be able to stay perfectly warm without any…

EDF- Welcome Variable Tarriff
I moved into new property November which was being supplied by Utility Point. Following a formal complaint I only got my EDF account set up and first eye-watering bill in January. However I am now concerned the s/c for electric on this charge is too high when I look at the current cap. (S/C 26.46 / Cap 24.88). When i read…

surge pricing
https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/973734/power-companies-trial-new-surge-pricing-to-reduce-stress-on-the-electricity-grid-973734.html I was one who didn't believe they would do this but the advent of electric cars and the "current" crisis has seen them testing the idea. It would be better if they built…

Final bill using completely incorrect meter readings
My energy provider went bust in October, at which point I was switched over to Shell Energy. My final bill from my previous provider included reasonably realistic estimated meter readings and a £100 credit balance. I moved out of the property in December, by which time Shell Energy hadn't sent me a bill. I took meter…
