I had to contact them today because despite me giving our meter reading the day after they requested it by email, the usage is showing as increasing each quarter. All reading on the account are shown as estimated. Direct debit shot up from £73 to £104 per month before the price increase! I was told that I had to give the…

NPower took money, but aren't my energy supplier
Last March I changed my energy supplier from NPower to Scottish Power. After receiving a £10 credit refund from Npower, I cancelled my direct debt via my online account and have been happily paying a DD to Scottish Power. Goodbye NPower I thought. Not so! On the 26th of July they reinstated my direct debit without my…

Newish build fixed supplier - SSE
Hi all, I am nearing completion (finally!) on the purchase of a 3 year old flat. I've just discovered that the entire development is tied in to using SSE on a communal kind of set up, with their tariffs an average of all the major brands. Has anyone experience SSE ( couldn't find a full thread) / heard of anything like…

Money Moral Dilemma: Should I tell my gas and electricity supplier I'm underpaying?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... A few years ago, I changed my gas and electricity to a different supplier. However, I later realised it was only charging me for electricity. I phoned and explained the situation, and was told it would amend this. This was a while ago now, and I'm still only paying for the…

Should I go onto higher Ovo fix?
Hi. I have a Better Energy (online only) fix with Ovo till November. They are trying to persuade me to change to a new fix now for 2 years, at 0.09p/unit more than I'm currently paying. I can't work out whether this is a good idea or not - pay more for 4 months so it only goes up a bit, or wait and see what I can do in…

Change energy supplier when have solar panels
I have solar panels, thus get a feed in tariff (when it's sunny) but use gas and electric from the grid the rest of the time. Given this I'm finding comparing suppliers- especially those with fixed tariffs really confusing. How do I know if I'm getting the best deal?

NPower complaint- free energy
Hi, rather than go into too much detail I'll keep it short. 3rd time I've contacted Ombudsmen in the past 18 months about Npower for the same issue and still not resolved. Am I entitled to free energy for the last 18 months as I know in 2015 this was aoffered to complaints not resolved in 6 weeks. Is this on-going?? Thanks

Economy Energy - do they provide there customers with bills / statements?
Hello All, I switched energy suppliers recently, and left flow to join Economy energy. Unlike flow, which provides monthly bills on the same day each month, Economy Energy provides quarterly billing.
