I am moving from a 3 bed house to a 2 bed flat; how can I compare fuel quotes ahead of time? My current usage presumably wont be relevant to use as a basis for the quote? Thank you

Hi all. Just bought my first property and due to complete and get the keys tomorrow. We're not moving in straight away as there's a lot of work we want to do first. Trying to avoid early exit fees
I'm currently on a Cooperative Energy Fair and Square fix until 31st March 2016. I'm hoping to take advantage of the collective switch deal that is coming up, however the tariff I'm on has early exit fees of £30/fuel. I'm aware that you can switch early up to 50 days before, which means the earliest switch date would be…

E.ON’s online “Delay Tariff-Change” tool - clarification sought.
I’m hoping that Malc, Helena or Amy, from E.ON, will be kind enough to assist me with this one... :) Last week, while changing my E.ON tariff, I encountered for the first time E.ON’s extremely useful “Delay Tariff-Change” tool (for want of a better name; I don’t know what its official title is). Basically, it’s an E.ON…

Ovo not accepting debt transfers
After reading that you could switch your supplier if you had a prepayment meter and provided any outstanding debt was less than £500, I decided to switch from British Gas to Ovo. Everything appeared to be running smoothly until I noticed that Ovo kept revising the supply date. I contacted Ovo, only to be told that British…

Npower gas/elec bills
My husband past away in November 2015 and I've since taken over the utility bills. I was shocked to find the prices my husband had been paying and am concerned that he was paying way too much for our gas and electric with Npower. When I took over the bills Npower told me they were going to charge me £250 a month for gas…

Warm home discount
I have a key meter and have always received my £140 on the very first top up. The letter from SSE states that it may take several top ups (normally three to five) before the discount registers. I have now topped up five times and still nothing, have others had to top up many times before receiving the discount?

OVO PAYG+ Electricity hefty price increase 9th March 2016
Hi All I've recently had the following email and just wanted to warn other people of the impending price increase especially if considering switching to OVO as after 9th March 2016 it may not be the cheapest PAYG tariffs, and personal experience tells me that once you have one if their smart meters installed it's difficult…

New Economy 7 meter, but different hours. Can I get the old hours back?
Hi Siemens have replace my old economy 7 meter, on behalf of First Utility. The old meter was set at 11:30-1:30 & 3:30-8:30. That was great, as in summer it came on at 10:30 The engineer said the old meter timings would remain on his new meter. If not immediately, they would be set remotely on a day or two. But the new…

Is someone stealing my electric?
Some of you may have remembered my wangle with the landlord to get an Economy 7 meter fitted in my flat as my bills were rather high. Finally the landlord caved in, and today the meter was fitted.
