Credit meters advice

I have managed to get my prepayment meters swapped to credit meters but forgot to ask them what happens to the money still on the prepayment meters will it go on my new direct debit account or do I lose that money

There is a regulation that states they must give it back to you, or credit to your account.
Contact your supplier and ask which they are doing.0
