Scottish Power wants to send in the heavies
Would you believe it,they threaten me with what is politely called "debt collectors" and what you and I probably call heavies - all that for money I don't owe. They sent me a bill which they dreamt up (all estimated readings) for a period when they stole my account from EDF. Again, this has a polite name,it is called…

Group buying
Does anyone know anything about 'Group Buying' or 'Group Switching'? It is where a group of people, not necessarily known to each other switch gas and/or electric suppliers. Thank you.

Got meter readings but no bill, do I have to estimate?
We moved house 3 months ago and our new home is supplied by EON. I gave them meter readings the day we moved in and set up our account because we had to. However I now want to see if we can get a better deal somewhere else. We have not had our first bill yet (though in my online account it says quarterly bills so should…

Help - Erroneous transfer which I can't resolve. Do I carry on with 'free fuel'.
Hi I have a second property and I pay all bills by direct debit. Dual fuel has been with EON for years. In April 2014 while doing my accounts I noticed that no payment had been made since October 2013 (no letters including account closing were sent). I called EON and they said that account was transferred to Scottish…

I got cavity wall insulation and have had the heating on for a few days, it's cold here in Scotland, outside temp 13 deg C at present. I usually have the thermostat set so the room…

Love2shop Vouchers with Energy Switch
I switched to Scottish Power with the energy club and have just received my cashback but there's been no mention of the £80 love2shop vouchers. Does anybody know how long it is before I get sent these and do they come from the energy club or Scottish Power?

Switching part way through a fixed rate deal and paying the exit fee
Hi. I'm currently on a fixed rate deal with Scottish Power which ends in March 2015. I'm annoyed by their belief that I should be paying around 20% more than my usage suggests (based on 12/13 usage as it was a cold winter, just to be on the safe side) and they won't refund me any of the £450 credit I've built up over the…

NPower and Richburns (debt collector?)
I have had a letter, out of the blue, from a company called Richburns saying 'we need to visit your property and inspect your gas meter'. Also, quote, 'Npower require that we carry out a safety inspection of your gas meter'. More ominous is an added implicated threat 'if we do not gain access to your meter we will make an…
