Hi

Ive been with edf for a few years and im currently on their blue promise plan. I have always found the bills for both gas and electricity to be very high even though im on the dual fuel plan. I originally moved from another company to edf a few years ago and im regretting it. The bills are surprisingly high. I pay quarterly and ive been on the price comparison sites which show that ill make such and such saving if I go with x y company but I dont know if these sites are accurate.

Im thinking of moving to eon. Can someone please give me advice on which companies are good in terms of price? and should I have gas with one company and electricity with another?

Thanks.

There is no one company that is good on price. If there were, we'd all be with them and there would be no need for the others.

It all depends on your region and how much you use. Use a comparison site to find the best deal for you

Definitely worth checking single fuel suppliers out too. Often they are chaepaer than a dual fuel supplier. Some comparions sites (e.g. EHL) allow you to easily do this by tabiing from dual to single fuel suplliers.

if your bills are surprisingly high then possible are .
One you are on a high tariff .
Two your bill is based upon estimates or a faulty meter reading . Do you know what your current charges are and how much you use .
Three and this is the usual one your consumption is high .

    Comparison .
You ignore the DD quotes and base it all upon the standing charge and per Kwh charge .
Use your past consumption to work out a DD charge .
