Scottish Power wants to send in the heavies

Would you believe it,they threaten me with what is politely called "debt collectors" and what you and I probably call heavies - all that for money I don't owe.
They sent me a bill which they dreamt up (all estimated readings) for a period when they stole my account from EDF. Again, this has a polite name,it is called erroneous transfer, not theft. The fact remains that they grabbed my account not just without my consent but even without my knowledge and it took several months battling to get it back. During this time I kept up the payments to EDF but Scottish Power must have thought that if they do not reply to any of my emails, letters or telephone calls perhaps I get fed up or frightened and give in and pay. They were wrong, thank you CAB who helped to resolve the matter.
So you have been warned.
