Is there an edf representative on here?
After a month of going round in circles with edf i think it's time to go public. Awful service, no response from their complaint resolutionmanager or from their online complaint procedure. Have been with them since May and since then my economy 10 tariff rates have been transposed, they need to be swapped, not that…

Switching from RHT to Economy 7
I currently rent a flat which has storage heaters and an RHT meter set up. This means that the storage heaters take in power between midday-4pm and midnight-8am on the "cheaper" rate meter. Everything else in the flat runs from the other meter so is charged at the higher rate at all times. We did have a hot water tank…

Do these meter readings sound right?
Meter reading on last bill was 4600 (beginning of November). 31st December it was 4913. Today it is 5493. We have our gas heating on 6pm til 9pm on weekdays, 10am - 1pm and 6-9pm on weekends. I might add we don't have thermostats so can't adjust the temperatures and we've got a back boiler & gas fire (fire doesn't work).…

I have arrears with British gas of £500, I'm on a payment meter, they take £6 a week of any credit on the meter, anyone know if this can be lowered? I know it sounds low already but with this cold weather I'm using a lot of gas and finding it hard to pay both. Just wondering is it up to who ever you get to speak with on…

Green deal - £270 cash back off a new boiler
I moved into a new house recently and the gas bill was £331 for two months. The boiler is an old one with a pilot light and there is a water tank upstairs, so I think an upgrade to a combi boiler is in order sometime soon. I have been reading the details of the Green Deal…

Standard tariff temporarily?
I've just bought a new property which needs approx 3 - 4 months of work done to it before I move in. When finished I may only live in it for 6 months before deciding what to do with it. Is there any point than going for anything other than a standard tariff under these circumstances?

Getting credit back from NPower
Hi We have recently moved to a new house and changed gas suppliers. In our final bill from NPower it came out as £903 in credit so we have clearly been overcharged for the last 3 years. However now NPower are really dragging their heals to pay it back and are even now saying they will have to investigate as is their policy…

I am appalling with money, just had a shock electric bill!
I'm your classic case of someone who is bad with money, I know I'm bad with money but thankfully my wages cover it, I work for myself, I know live alone and I usually average about £400-£500 a week, so this week since my rent was paid I made £280 after rent to take a week off right cos I need some time out. Now I had an…

NPower - problems with meter installation
My boyfriend and I moved into a flat in August that has a gas prepayment meter. Our landlord told us that we could change the meter to a credit meter one if we wanted. We called NPower in September, who agreed for us to switch over to them and to install a new meter free of charge. We didn't hear anything from them…

Got the first bill from British Gas - £347 for dual fuel! Seems crazy high. It's a 2 bedroom flat. Just myself and partner. No kids. I do work…

The Green Deal - Assessors in Scotland
There is much talk on the radio about this scheme due to start being funded at the end of this month. My boiler is about 20 years old and I would definitely like to get a new one funded through this scheme. I spoke with a girl from Energy Saving Scotland who said assessments could be carried out in advance of the funding…

Flueless gas fires
Our balanced flue gas fire has just given up the ghost. Coldest day of the year and 4 inches of snow:mad: I have been searching on the Internet for a new one (Old one over 30 years old) and a lot of places are selling wall hanging flueless fires, but I can't seem to find any reviews, or an ability to compare flueless and…

£ months for a British Gas decision
I was informed 3 months ago my payment plan had been closed due to my failure to pay. Well I had paid regularly. Then it after some complaint was reinstated but at £100 per month more. I complained and despite several reminders from me I eventually was contacted by a debt collection agency for the outstanding bill. I…
