e.on Fixonline 8 - question for e.on Company Representative on alternatives?
Quite a lot of us in here are on the rather well-priced e.on Fixonline 8 tariff which finishes on 1 July. There's no way I'll be staying with e.on on any of the tariffs they're presently offering us, so I'm starting actively to look around to switch - and with the cashbacks on offer for switching to another company e.on…

Now Ofgem have changed the regulations re gas & elec price changes, will you be able to change suppliers if they raise their prices and you are on a "fixed term?" Currently with Scottish Power on their Online Energy Saver 9 deal, this has…

Unsure about whether I am paying too much for gas/elec?
Hi, I have just been discussing my gas/elec bills with my gf and I am concerned that I am paying too much. Living by myself in a three bedroom flat, don't tend to put heating on that much but do use a fair amount of electricity. Currently I'm on sign online 19 with npower and have been paying approximately 48 per month for…

eon increased their prices
I am currently with eon on fixonline8 which ends on 1st July. I just put my details into uswitch and my best deal is websaver 11 dual fuel from BG. Eon's best deal is saveonline7 at £70 dearer than BG so after 3 years with eon it is back to BG. A couple of weeks ago the difference was about £12 but that was saveonline6, so…

Direct Debit and new fuel quotes
Hi Im with Atlantic energy. We spend £400 p/a on Gas, and £300 p/a on electricity. We pay quarterly after we get the bill. I would like to fix our energy bills but I am struggling as they all seem to be Direct Debit (DD) only or over £100 extra. I have no problem paying monthly or but I will only pay for the energy I use…

OVO didn't put my our DD up so now we're in debt and stuck with them
Hi all Would appreciate a bit of advice. OVO's last statement had us at £676 in the red with them (based on a lot of estimated reads). This was reduced to £312 when I phoned through the actual reads the other day. My gripe with them is that they never adjusted our DD amount from £98, even though we were racking up a large…

I can't find my tariff on comparison sites
I'm on Southern Electric General Saver for gas, and Scottish Hydro Electric Domestic Standard for electricity. Neither of these exact terms seem to appear in the menus at either energyhelpline or uSwitch. Am I missing something very obvious? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

New 30-day notice on energy bills
Customers must now be told about energy price rises 30 days in advance, rather than being notified up to two months after the event. New 30-day notice on energy bills I think this has been in the pipeline for some time. Wouldn't it be better if all the suppliers had to compete against one another to offer tariffs at the…

Npower Repayment Letter Stolen & Cashed
Hi, I was hoping someone reading this had heard of a similar story and might just be able to help. A couple of months ago I read on mse that Npower had overcharged customers and were sending out letters informing customers. So I called them to see if I was one of these customers and if they had sent a letter to my old…
