eon increased their prices
Options
I am currently with eon on fixonline8 which ends on 1st July.
I just put my details into uswitch and my best deal is websaver 11 dual fuel from BG.
Eon's best deal is saveonline7 at £70 dearer than BG so after 3 years with eon it is back to BG.
A couple of weeks ago the difference was about £12 but that was saveonline6, so it would appear that eon have put their prices up by withdrawing saveonline6.
I just hope BG don't do the same thing in July.

Don't switch until you have done a comparison based on consumption in kWh. A comparison measured in folding stuff is worthless.

I did put in kWhs.
That is how I got the 2 prices in £s.
BG £1000 and Eon £1070 for the same amounts of kWhs.
How are you meant to find out what is the best deals if you don't convert the kWhs into monetary units?
Just because I said that there was a £70 difference in price did not mean I put £s into uswitch. That would be totally stupid.0 -
Ok don't get a toot on. Your original post implied you'd done it by comparing your monetary bill. Lots of people do. The correct advice is and always will be kWh comparison. Pleased you did it that way. But I'm not a mind reader.

Hi johnatho
Don't know if you've seen the comments I made earlier today on other threads but just a heads up if you didn't.
When changing supplier, we don't give discount on final bills unless it involves a contracted product which has reached its end date.
If Fixonline 8 has ended by the time your switch completes, you'll receive all the discount applicable to the tariff even if part of this falls within the final bill.
However, if the switch completes before the end date, it's likely you'll miss out on quite a chunk of discount. A way round this is by asking for a bill before the switch completes.
Your final bill will then only be missing the discount between this bill and the switch date.
Sorry you're leaving johnatho but hope you find this heads up useful.
