Southern energy....help!! ...another colossal mistake by them
Options
:(looking for help/advice regarding what can be done about (in my eyes ) rogue trading by Southern energy who have hit me for £1750 !! for my gas supply.....i have always used this company for my gas and electric because stupidly thought never to get involved with switching utilities suppliers as all you seem to hear about is people being done over......well wasn't i nieve!!.....
Around about december 2009 i got really upset with the supplier as my d/d seemed to constantly go up every month for my electricity supply so i investigated and found out i was being charged for 2 meter readings, so after a month or so i managed to get credited £1698 , for over payment......NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GET CONFUSING!!....now recieved a letter from them saying i owe them an extra £1750 for my gas supply and it seem the credit given to me before ( the £1698) was paid from the gas account......HELP HELP HELP..... my wife and i are extremely stressed to the limit now and dont know what to do..:(:mad::mad::mad:

Hi caley1 - Hmmm. Not really enough info in your post for precise advice.
However, provided you are sure of your ground on the reasons for the £1698 cash-back on the Elec account, WRITE a letter headed Complaint to SE asking why they issued a credit for Electricity against your gas account, and demanding full Statements of Account on both your gas & Electricity0
