Fuel Prices - What About Prepay?
I am on a pre pay tariff, it was installed when I moved in and each time I have looked into changing it, I have found it to be very competetive. Recently, I have found that as I "tart" my credit to 0% I also get 100 pounds worth of electric onto the card I am going to transfer, this way I don't have to worry about bills…

Do I need to inform old provider when switching?
I'm switching to Scottish Power from Southern Electric. I have received letters from both. Southern Electric's letter states: Do I really need to call them? When I last switched provider (from BG) a few years ago, I remember having to call BG and they insisted that I should stay with them and it was a struggle to get them…

Help! In price fix until November
As I signed up to a fixed price until November 2008, does that mean I am locked into it until then? I dread to think what the prices will be by November. Does anybody know if suppliers let you change to a different tariff before the end of price fix term? Surely if you stayed with the same supplier it would be to their…

Southern Electric Price Fix 2008 - stick or switch *now*?
Here's an interesting thought - we're on Southern Electric's Price Fix 2008 tariff which means no increase in gas or electricity prices until the end of November this year. However, as we all know, capped deals might start getting more expensive soon. The Price Fix tariff has already helped us avoid the impact of the first…

Swalec Price Fix 2008
Hi, After reading Martin's "SWITCH NOW" email, I thought I'd take a look at at energy websites I'm currently on the Swalec Price Fix 2008 which ix fixed until December this year. All the energy websites I go to indicate that I'm currently paying the least I could. Switching would seem to cost me more money. So, does…

Bad Debt
My dad had a council unit for his business which he vacated in 2001. He is now being chased by a debt collection agency saying he owes £2000.00 to British Gas. British Gas say they have sold the debt and can't help - but say the account has been dormant since 2000. The debt collection agency are saying it relates to 2002.…
