What Tariff am I on?

Hi guys

Can anyone tell me where I find what tariff I am on with British Gas? I'm staring at the old bills but can't see it anywhere!!!

I've been on online billing for a while, and it does say on the bill, but my old (I've been on this for a year, so they may have changed) bills don't have the tariff on. You could try getting set up on the website if you aren't feeling strong enough to get in touch with the call centre, and you'll then be able to view (and print if you like) you bill, with your current tariff on it.

Interestingly, when you change your tariff, it appears to update it on all your old bills... I seem to have been on Click Energy 5 since before it existed.

Alternatively you can look at the documents that give the prices for the tariffs and work it out from those. They're all on the website here:

and it gives details of any old tariffs that you might be on which are no longer available to new customers.

I've just had the same problem.

I couldn't see it anywhere on my bills. I even got my daughter to read them to see if I had missed it, but no, she couldn't see it either. I couldn't even see it on my account with them on-line. What's with the secrecy?

So, feeling like a right idiot, I took the plunge and rang them up. Once I did get through to someone he was very helpful and was able to tell me. He also said that the vast majority of his calls today had been from people asking much the same question which made me feel a little better about not knowing.
