Economy7 Tariff Help

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I recently moved house into a house in the country with no gas supply and I have storage heaters to provide heating and immursion heaters for hot water.

I have a meter which has 3 readings; one for stored heat, other electric daytime and other electric nighttime. After hearing about the planned electric price rises I want to move onto a capped tariff. My current tariff (Southern Electric - Flexiheat) has a 2 hour daytime boost time for my heating and hot water at the cheap rate.

Is this something I should look for in my next tarrif? I only moved here recently so I don't know if the daytime boost is worth having in the winter, does anyone else have it? Do any other suppliers do anything like it?

My cheap rate is from 7pm until 7am M-F and all weekend. I've been told by Southern Electric that I am not on econ. 7. I'm quite confused about whether or not to go onto econ 7 and what the difference would be.

Any tarriff recommendations very welcome!

Thanks in advance.

    Hi

Switching to E7 will give you less hours cheap rate also it maybe that the storage need the 2 hour boost to work efficiently (its there for a reason).

However the possible positive to switching to an E7 setup is you are more likely to find a supplier who will give you a capped rate.

    I would

I would advise researching your heating setup and best ways to use as there will be a reason why you have three rate meter.
