Waiting for replies from debt collectors.
Good morning all. I'm after a bit of advice if possible - I believe that creditors have an obligation to reply to dispute within a certain amount of time do they not? If so, how many days is the time frame and what steps can I take if they have failed? The creditor in question is MEM Consumer Finance. Thanks in advance.

BT - credit file
I seem to be getting into (hasn't yet, but I can see it going that way) a bit of a disagreement with BT. I've switched to the Post Office for my landline and I'm awaiting a proper final bill from BT. They seem to be being a bit sneaky and quoting the call element, but not listing the rental element (i.e. just telling us we…

Electoral Roll
Guys, My girlfriend was refused an M&S credit card and they sent her a letter saying it was because of her credit rating. We thought this to be excellent so we got an experian report to see what the problem was. We've just checked and it claims she is not on the electoral roll, that's the only issue, which I guess in one…

partial Vs fully settled on default accounts
Hi All Is there a benefit to settling accounts in full if the accounts in question have defaults applied? Ideally I'd like to settle all accounts in full but just wanted to know if it makes a difference when my credit file is already damaged. My defaults will be dropping off from October 2015-December 2017 even though all…

EON informing equifax on estimated bill
Account had been left in credit £19 from 2011-2013. EON estimated bills and whilst away in 2013 they sent information to Equifax so there is a 2,3,4,5,D on credit rating for an estimated bill that was only £2.34 anyway. If the bill had not been estimated the account would have been in credit. They also changed billing…

Credit Rating Question
I have had a default on my credit file for a while now that goes back to a mistake I made when I was young and stupid. Anyway after a while I was tracked down and agreed a settlement plan. My question though is that the account originally defaulted in October 2009 which as far as I am aware means it will be off my credit…

Is NODDLE a con ?
I am thinking of checking my credit report - using Noddle but they require me to add my credit/debit card details - before I can use their "free" service - why should I do this - and what is the real reason ? I don't trust them... There must be people without payment cards - what do they do ?

Wrong name on Electoral Roll in my Credit report
I've just got a new copy of my credit report from Check My File and I've realised that in the electoral roll section a previous tenant of the flat I'm in appears. I have the same first name as them- but they moved out a year before i moved in and I have no connection to them whatsoever. I'm just worried because when we…

Tesco CC in the wrong over a Missed payment?
Hi all, I've had a Tesco CC for about 3 years. Used the 0% deal for 12 months and paid it off via DD. All good. However, 1 month ago, they offered a 0% balance transfer deal. So I put £1000 on it from a another 0% deal which was about to end and calculated how much I'd need to pay off each month to pay off in full via min…
