EON informing equifax on estimated bill

Account had been left in credit £19 from 2011-2013. EON estimated bills and whilst away in 2013 they sent information to Equifax so there is a 2,3,4,5,D on credit rating for an estimated bill that was only £2.34 anyway.
If the bill had not been estimated the account would have been in credit.
They also changed billing system from only paying for what was used to adding a standing charge on 18/1/13 (in their small print). Even their estimated bill for the year on 2/1/13 did not account for that. If they can't get it right how can a customer?
Was not expecting a bill since there was no electric being used. Why are EON able to cause problems to a credit rating from an estimated bill and for such a small about? How can this be rectified?
Now can't get mortgage due to this.

in away it was correct, if you dont provide reads and not accesable then can estimate and its in the t&c's . However they may as a gesture change.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Hi
When we share with Equifax, we give a true reflection of the status of an account at the time of the share. If there was a debit balance on the account at this time, regardless of the amount, this is what we'll have shared.
I think it's also worth mentioning, we don't just share payment information of customers who don't pay. We also share payment information of those who do. Customers paying on time receive positive entries on their credit reports.
Did you let us have meter readings after you received the estimated bill so we could re-bill accurately?
We re-introduced daily standing charges around September 2012. Letters were sent to customers at the time to let them know. The standing charge covers our fixed costs for bringing energy to properties. This includes things like meter readers, maintenance and the cost of keeping homes connected to the networks.
Previously, these costs were covered by charging a higher primary rate for the first amount of kWh used.
Sorry I can't be of more help at this time.

So EON share a true reflection of fiction with Equifax.
EON should have a policy of never reporting to credit agencies about estimated bills.
EON had been informed that no electricity was being used for a while.
EON refused to set up a direct debit on the phone.0
