Who do Lenders search through?

Hi All,

I have just had a CCJ expire (20/11/2014) and it has been removed from Experian, Callcredit and I checked Equifax today and it is no longer on there either.

However I know that Noddle still has it registered as they are a month behind the other CRAs and are part of Callcredit.

What I would like to know is if any lenders search through Noddle or is it just the main 3 CRAs?

Thanks for reading.

    Hi Candyapple,

Thanks for the link, just realised though that this is from 2010 so wondered whether anyone knew of any companies that recently would use noddle?

    Thanks

'Lenders' could mean a lot of things. Its fair to say that some lenders will use call credit.

I suggest you wait a couple weeks for any adverse to fall off before applying if you can wait.

btw call credit are one of the main 3 CRAs!

    Hi Greatone,

    Thanks fo your reply.

I know they are one of the main 3, just wondered whether lenders i.e banks and car finance companies may also choose to use noddle as well as the main 3.

I will take your advise and wait a couple of weeks though.

  • is noodle not the retail selling arm of call credit? , ie the one that users can see when logged in , but the "trade" portal would be call credit?

    Thats what I was thinking.

So if I applied for credit with a lender that searches with callcredit they wouldnt see the out of date noddle report?
  • dunno but it seems logical , we can buy expedion , and the other one but the call credit one is the noodle retail version

I have a noddle acount too so I guess I will just wait till I get the next update next month and see if the CCJ is still registered with them.
  • Noodle is a snapshot of Callcredit, you only see a report from the point in time your file is refreshed. It updates with callcredit which lenders use but you won't see it.
