My son and daughter in law live in the US. My son has suggested I buy my d-i-l a baby carrier for my new grandson, as a surprise present. Confused - Help Needed
OK so I currently have a credit card with Barclays with the balance currently standing at just under £4,000. The APR is slowly creeping up as 0% is ending which is making it increasingly hard to pay off. I cut up the card when I first got the card to prevent me spending on it and pay off £200 each month. I already have a 22 month interest free balance transfer on a card which is about 6 months in. I now want to take advantage of a 12 month zero percent balance transfer on the same card. How will interest repayments work after the 12 months? I plan to have this debt paid off by then but just in-case. Would I pay only…

Have taken out that recent 17 months at 0% and 0.7% BT deal. Set up the direct debit online around the 23rd June after I set up online banking. Checked statement a few days ago, dated 2nd July, but only shows the payment amount. It does NOT show... 1) When it is to be paid by. 2) Where the money is to be taken from.…

No BT deals - cancel card?
I have a Natwest card that I'd like to use to shuffle another CC debt on to - however, they are not offering any BT deals at the moment, not even a life of balance one. I'm wondering whether it's worth cancelling and applying for another card or hold on for them to offer something. Trouble is the limit is 10k which I'd…

There's been a lot of advice given recently about the best credit card to use for purchases abroad on holiday and Saga came out close to the top as one which charges nil commission. Will Using a Credit Card Help Raise the Limit?
If I use a credit card, will it help them decide if I can have a bigger limit? When I first got it, the card limit was £2000, which was fine as I didn't need that much. I stopped using it for months, so they dropped it to just £500. It's paid off automatically with a DD. Now I am fast approaching a time when I will need to…
