Do cc's where you are already a member of a bank give better rates

Do cc's where you are already a member of a bank offer better rates? or not really

    Although your existing Bank will have a better understanding of your finances, I'd imagine Credit Card interest rates amongst other things are very much dependent on your overall Credit Score at the time of application.

    Generally, not really, but a couple of institutions do offer cards with preferential standard rates to their existing account holders. Nationwide has a Select card whos standard rate is 15.9% -v- the open to all card's rate of 17.9%

    On the flip side, Natwest offer their Black card only to account holders and its rate is higher - but it does come with other perks
