Vanquis charges unacceptable?
I have a credit card with Vanquis which up until a couple of weeks ago had a balance of £1400. I am expecting a baby shortly and I've been saving some money up for exactly that reason. As the minimum balance payments got close to £80 a month, I decided to use the saved money to pay off the balance. I did this on the 2nd of…

Credit card protection
A friend of mine tells me that even if you only pay, say, a £100 deposit on a holiday by credit card and then pay the rest by cheque, (say a £1000), then nevertheless you are covered for the entire £1100 by the credit card company. Is this correct?

'Very' dissapointed
Hi, Why on earth do companies accepted applications then change their minds after a couple of day? It's so annoying! In my case it was Very.co.uk. I got a letter asking me to open a credit account and also giving me a code for £15 off a £25 spend. Great I thought and I applied and was 'immediately' accepted giving me a…

Experion £2 statutory credit report
Hi all, Maybe I'm just not seeing for looking but how do you get the £2 statutory report from Experion? There just doesn't seem to be an option that doesn't automatically enroll you in their membership scheme (I have had the free offer in the past so can't do that again). I can get my report from Equifax and callcredit,…

Barclaycard Dispute Process
Hi all, I recently disputed a transaction with Barclaycard (S75). The purchase in question was a car which wasn't fit for purpose. Initially the debits were marked as disputed transactions but remained as debits on the card statement. I noticed tonight that I have received a full credit refund for the car (I guess since BC…

Keep paying a utility bill in the UK even though now live in the US?
We rent a house in the UK and the tenants pay for all the bills. We pay for the mortgage. We live in the USA. We want to apply for a second mortgage but worried that our credits score in the UK has gone down due to living in the USA. Should we consider paying at least one utility bill (i.e. council tax) to help improve our…

£34 default from TMobile - no notice
Hi, I had an account with TMobile from mid 2007. I always paid my bills by direct debit and was always on time.
