When i die-debt go with me ?

A fairly basic question-no dobt dealt with elsewhere-so i apologise where it duplicates-but very simply:

as and when i die-assuming i have credit card debt -does the debt die with me-or will a card company pursue my immediate family for the debt ?

If there is didly squat in the estate-what then happens to any ccard debt i have at the time of my death
(don't worry-not planning on going anywhere) and a fairly basdic question-but realised-i do not know the answer.

look forward to being informed accordingly.

many thanks

When you die, the cost of the funeral is the first thing to be paid out of your estate. After that, debts have to be repaid.

If there is not enough to pay the debts, they stay unpaid. No-one else can be made to pay them although that doesn't stop some companies trying to make the relatives pay up.
