A friend of mine tells me that even if you only pay, say, a £100 deposit on a holiday by credit card and then pay the rest by cheque, (say a £1000), then nevertheless you are covered for the entire £1100 by the credit card company. Is this correct?

in fact you only need to pay 1p (or realistically £1) to qualify. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Just reread the link and think I'm wrong regarding the amount of the deposit....looks like any size deposit will kick in the cover so long as the total is over £100. Thanks again!0
